Title: More V5 6000's gone forever.

Was talking to somebody, and whilst on the topic of V5 6000's he said this :

Quote:
I was just talking with a friend that worked at 3dfx and he had a couple Voodoo5 6000's that he dug up recently.  He said he was cleaning out and was holding them over the trash thinking "hmmm..." and ended up tossing them.  If it's any consolation, I made him feel really sorry about it.

That made me sick, isn't that awful?  :'(

too bad.weird he didnt even try to sell or donate them-most old hardware parts can be sold for some money, and what cant be sold can be donated..I dont really remember dumping anything more than old crt monitors (nobody wants those,heh)..

guess he didnt want to bother,or something.

Jeez, that's horrible!

I'm with you ps47, most parts can be reused or kept as spare parts.... even a Voodoo 5 6000.  LOL   ;D

It's hard to believe that he didn't know they had value on eBay.. I mean, you said it used to work for 3dfx

Some people might have started a completely new job, and 8 years later thought they had nothing more then sentimental value to just them.
