You *were* warned when you showed the picture it was taken from Sharky Extreme, why be surprised now?

The description alone would have been enough to make me steer clear.

128 MB, DVI, 8x AGP huh?

Indeed, there are at least 4 faults in the auction. The seller said the card has a TV-Out, but look at the picture : No TV-Out.
Then : 128MB, DVI, AGP 8x  Roll Eyes

The seller is also talking about Voodoo 3 3500.

When looking at the auction it is one big mess and that makes it unreliable.

I had several auctions which I never received, which we're different or we're closed before the auction ended.
It's very frustrating, but try to live with it. The world isn't as sweet as it sometimes looks like  Roll Eyes

Somewhat understandable though, I'd hate that happen to me once, let alone three times Tongue

Anyway, I'm sure (with being such an active Collector) better times will follow and there'll be the one or other nice new aquisition to show Smiley

Just don't let yourself down over it, bad luck always tends to come in loads, but eventually has to yield to success coming back sooner or later !

yes, some auctions are just rediculous.

they dont really know what are they selling.
So its a fact and we just need to be more careful

fact that u did not pay a bomb for it,
I dont see why u should even get really angry.

Well I don't know about you guys but I can relate to his feeling. When I got ripped off from broadcastsupplies on that 100SB-4400V. although it was a lot of money. The thing that pi$$ed me off the most was that the guy ripped me off. The money was secondary. I waited over a month only to recieve a X-24. Then to add insult to injury, I was told to return it for a full refund, which I did. Then I got nothing. It was only that I could prove to ebay that I returned the item that I got part of a refund. The rest of the satisfaction was when I filed a fraud complaint and NEG'ed the guy.

So I can relate to TM30's feelings. You get excited when you win, then later your let down because you find out in the in it was a sham and you were ripped off.

I felt that sinking feeling, I would not wish that on anyone here as I consider all of you guy here my friends.

I would ask that you take it easy on TM30 if anything, he needs our support during this run of bad luck.

There are better times ahead for all of us. As Obi-Wan_Kenobi would say, The force is with us.

I see your point gamma,
I know... at the end of the day,
it leaves the least significants for us members here on the forum.
And sometime to get into a heated talk just isn't worth it.

We all know that, but the person who initializes it should think twice before posting something nasty..

I mean we are all very greatful that the moderators aren't banning or locking threads based on its nature.
so thats about as good as it gets and really...

as adults, we should keep things in order
just the way I see it. Obviously if u get blasted on a thread, you tend to retaliate if u disagree..

and guess now, it also came from Great Britan. Thats 3 crappy auctions from GB in only lets say 1 to 2 months...

I don't care where you buy your cards from, you are always vulnerable to problem-riddled auctions.  The fact that some sellers are not as clued up about 3dfx products as we are, is not there fault.  We have to give them some slack, as they may no absolutely nothing about any computer components, let alone a 3dfx-specific graphics card.  It's your job to be more inquisitive before you bid, and also assure yourself, you know what you are buying, without the assurance of others.

Like Gary said, you saw the title of the auction you bid on.  Any other 3dfx seller would be dubious of it.  Maybe this is a lack of 3dfx expertise on your part then.  Undecided

Quote:
and no... i didn't plant bombs anywhere...

yeaaah i know i shouldn't have made jokes about that, but  3 dissapointments after all from Great Britain makes me very angry....

Frankly, I am well pissed off at you for this.  This is no joke whatsoever, and you should not have even thought about posting this, even if you admit yourself it was a joke.  Angry
How does the awful tragedy of what happened in London, compare to your disappointment over 3 graphics cards.  You seriously need to grow up and take a realistic look on life!

And of all people, how dare you post such a comment, given your nation's background history, you should be the first to be watch your words carefully, be mindful of what's happened and have sympathy to those who fell victim to the atrocities.  Along with this comment and your anger for GB sellers of 3dfx cards, your state of thinking seems somewhat pathetic and primitive, as it doesn't seem to have left the era of the 1940's.

You are obviously a bad apple in the bunch, as all your other fellow patriots do not seem to post to such similar disrespectful methods as you do.  This means you let them down too.  Angry

And for anyone who understands his anger towards his unsuccessfull auctions, I'm sorry, but I do not appease with such sentiment, since his prior faux pax on the bombings simply overrules such felt sympathy.

Yesterday was yet another great day in London and for the rest of Britain and the World, as we celebrated a combination of ceremonies in the 60th anniversary of VE and VJ day.  A celebration of ridding the world of evil and tyranny 60 years ago.  Today, we continue that same quest against the cowardly actions of spineless terrorists that don't have the nerve to face us like men.  However, once again, we will succeed in ridding the world of these bastards.

Hmm...

Whenever a topic is drifting into politics, I start having a very bad feeling about it, all this is definitely headed the wrong way.

Because if were all to start posting about what we think about the recent events (here and in the world), we'd probably start killing each other in no time :p

@everyone
Please cool off and let go of this discussion, it is just leading to nowhere.

@Chosen_one - You say all you want to talk about is 3dfx cards .. fine! But then you make your intentions pretty clear about 60 years ago?  Why?  You know your post will bring some sort of reaction.  All I want to talk about is 3dfx, without having to listen to jokes being made about those who suffered in London.

There would have been no political discussion if unamusing jibes aren't made in the first place.  The best thing to do is make sure these comments don't arise in the forum.
There are many posts on this forum that get removed by the admins for far less insulting comments, than those that are raised to make jokes about other peoples suffering and misery.
It should be made sure that they don't make it onto the forum in the first place, otherwise they are bound to spark ill-feeling, disputes and retaliation that are off-topic to what the admins would like to keep the discussion on track of what is necessary.

I agree that joke was a bit uncalled for and certainly occured not quite at the right moment/place.

Still, bare in mind that every single day, a hundredfold more people die a silent, unspectacular death all over the world, from lack of water, lack of food or simple diseases.

Almost noone cares about these, their death goes unnoticed, which (at least for me) puts alot of things in our beatiful modern world into perspective.
