add active cooling,flash the 3k BIOS,thats all.I would recommend normal overclocking thoug..

what do u mean by active cooling? a mounted fan on the heatsink?

Active cooling is with a fan indeed. A fan turns 'active'. Passive cooling (nothing really happens) is only an heatsink Smiley.

okay ill do that. now can i stick these files on a floppy and boot It? i got the 3dfx Flasher and a Voodoo 3 3k BIOS rom image from the 3dfx BIOS and Utilities website.

I used a 486 cpu fan on the stock 3dfx heatsink and it worked fine.

But why not just overclock it with the overclocker utility? It's much safer Wink

Do yourself a favor and test it with the OC utility first to make sure it functions okay @166MHz before you flash it Wink

Okay, Iv'e Tried it up to 195 Mhz without a fan. probably not a good idea. ill install one shortly

Use: Amigasport V. 3.0 for Win2k/XP

Let Me Outline Some Other Things With Vista:

Theres No Aero, Theres Vista Basic

It Also Seems To Work Alot Faster at Higher Resolutions
