Naw just that v4L-card, i could go higher but i just have a stock heatsink on it right now, dont wanna burn this cpu out. really i just wanted to knock that other dude off the v4 anysetting record. On this test you can go for default settings or change them to lower resolutions, i did mine at lower resolution not the default that Tm30 has done which is harder.

@TM30,
What rev. bios are you utilizing in your 8k5a2? I have seen you can setting your XP-Mobile to 15x. I have 8k5a2+ and with my XP-Mobile 2500+ I can not setting it up of a multiplier bigger than 12.5x because the PC not recognizes the multipliers 13x, 14x and 15x. It boots automatically with a multiplier x5 or x5'5. I also have tried un BARTON 3000+ 200FSB unlocked and the same result.
How you can setting your XP-Mobile to 15x with that MotherBoard? I am surprised!

LET ME KNOW

Regards,
Oscar

@TM30,
Have you done any  "Socket wire trick" ?
What rev bios are you utilizing in your EPOX board?

How it works on your motherboard I don't know. Which chipset does it have? .(Since the mobile 2500+ has a MP higher than 12,5x it does not need modification I think)

I have a EPOX 8K5A2+ chipset kt333 with a XP-Mobile 2500+ I just can setting it to 12'5x, multiplier more high is not possible and not recognized by the system. But Now with  a "Socket wire trick" I already can utilize his multiplier for default 14x, but not 15x. It is working 166x14=2324GHz
I don't know like TM30 can do it without any trick!

Oscar

I don't know what bios TM30 is utilizing. Only there are 2 possibility:

2003-11-14 20031114  k5a23916.bin
2003-04-08 20030408  k5a23407.bin

I am utilizing the 20030408 and in both boards is the same bios. But the vers. 20031114 is not available for my board! Weird...

EDITED:
I was confused are different bios but with the same version and date.

Oscar

Perhaps TM30 used ChrystalCPUID or CPUMSR and changed the multiplier under Windows.

Perhaps -Because I have tried different bios with the same Motherboard (8K5a2, 8k5a2+) and different XP-Mobile, Bartons and nothing. The multiplier not goes above 12.5x. For this reason I am very surprised with the result of TM30.

ps. I am waiting that TM30 gives to all us the solution!  Wink

@TM30,
You are a 'gentelman'. Thank you very much by your AID! It has been wonderful. A month hoping your answer to my 'complicated' question, but don't worry, I already see as you are.
