the majority of voodoo4/5 cards with aavid fan,actually the aavid stickers.

but i think the cards with 3dfx fan is more perfect than aavid fan, it looks like keep the original 3dfx style and give me much feeling about living in 3dfx period.

just review my voodoo collection, i just have two cards with 3dfx stickers,one is voodoo5 5500 agp,the other is voodoo4 4500 pci. i am seeking for a long time to find 3dfx fan but the result is not well.

then i ask some collectors and they said the cards with 3dfx fan are earlier products in 3dfx and next they use aavid stickers to their later ones.

i search on e-bay most of time and not often to see the voodoo4/5 cards with 3dfx fan and i will seek all the time and get more and more that stuffs.

well...i hate these 3dfx fans! the aavid fans look better!
but i have two of them for replacement parts! unfortunatelly one is damaged....

I agree with Chosen_One.

I prefer the AAVID fans to the 3dfx fans.  I remember when I first saw a v4/v5 with the fan(s), I actually thought someone had made the stickers themselves and stuck them over the AAVID ones. They looked a bit cheap and nasty!  ;)

Whereas this may be the case nowadays, and some 3dfx owners may be making their own 3dfx stickers, it will be hard to distinguish between the real ones, and the fan-made ones.

The AAvid decal fans were used on the early boards, some time between 3500-3800 the "3dfx" fans started showing up.

Different taste's I guess as I prefer the 3dfx stickers myself  ;D

They did indeed ship that way from 3dfx on later boards.

hmm. for me that white sticker looks cheap, i think the 3dfx sticker gives it a  little class, i also have noticed the 3dfx sticker ones get higher bids, you ever notice that.

All of mine are aavid. I really have no preference as it's only a paper sticker. It probably wouldn't cost that much to have some 3dfx ones printed up. Then you could get a better price at the auction :-*

Only my 3dfx Interactive, Inc. Voodoo 4 4500 AGP (OEM) contains a '3dfx fan' . I must say, it's looks delicious on a Voodoo 4  ;D

It's a strange coincidence but all my V4(4 samples) have 3Dfx fans and all my V5 5.5K(5 samples) have AAVID fans.

Anyway I find the AAVID fan nicer (I've always liked lighter coloured fan stickers)

I've also been trying to get some cards with the "3dfx" sticker since they interst me. The strange thing is that the early 5500 cards have them and the late 4500 too. I wonder if there is any logic in it at all. Anyway I'm with the people that like the 3dfx fan     :)

the price is ok....£12

And I paid 50 Euro for mine one year ago... with an AAvid one (doesn't matter though)!
