i think that it's has the same query as the Voodoo3 2000 PCI SGRAM with the Black and Silver Coolers., tou know the ones I mean , the ones with those tiny square ones.

I think that a Matt Black cooler  has a better heat displacement than an Aluminium based coloured cooling unit.

Maybey that is why 3dfx didthat, it also could of been that the Alu coolers were out of stock so that they continued with the matt black ones from the 3500 AGP TV cards ofcourse

yeah Chosen you're right... the black 3000 cooler looks like the regular 3000 cooler, but only in black... no notch like on 3500...
