Title: Voodoo3/4/5 bundled with Voodoo1/2?
Post by Micha on 02.10.03 at 14:57:57
I didn't tried it yet, so here's my question:
is it possible to run a primary voodoo (3, 4, 5, Banshee etc.) together with a voodoo1/2 card? Well, i think there might be some driver problems..

Yes, I know...this combination is useless, just a try

Can't run a Banshee or a Voodoo3 or other cards in conjuntion with a Voodoo1/2 card, simply because you wouldn't even have a posibility to connect the loopback cable between the main gfx and the Voodoo1/2.

Also, it is likely that you will gain no increased performance on the Voodoo1/2 output, and zero on the Voodoo5. Of course this would be true if the combination V1/2 with V4/5 could be possible...

@ Boiu_Andrei:
i thought of voodoo3/4/5 as main gfx  ;)

@ patience:
thanks...well, no need to install such a system, cause i'm running a voodoo5  ;D
was just of interest for me...maybe my brother (he's running a kyro 1 with 2 voodoo2's) will consider.

what about running a voodoo banshee/3/4/5 for PCI as second card together with a Voodoo banshee/3/4/5 for AGP? would be interesting for a multi-monitor system..
