Title: EPoX website
Post by razrx on 08.04.08 at 17:20:30
Hey,

So I bought an A7V333 for my new 3dfx rig, but after looking through the manual I could have issues as I want to put in 1 AGP card and 3 PCI cards.  When I look at the manual it shows that IRQs are going to have to be shared.  I kinda remember this when I had to deal with it back in the late 90's, but all I remember is problems with IRQ sharing.

So, I'm looking at alternatives and EPoX seems to make really good motherboards.  However, when I try their Global site, I have to keep refreshing the page, to actually get a page to finally show up.

On the US webpage, I can navigate fairly well, until I get to the point where I need to download something and then the referencing page crashes.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Exxe,

Ok, I was getting the sense of that.  I'm curious to find out why they're out of business as they seemed to make good boards.

Is there anywhere where I can download drivers/manuals/bioses for these boards?

Drivers: VIA-Chipset-Driver @ www.viaarena.com
BIOS: Which board do you have?

Ok, thanks for the help.

My motherboard is the EPoX 8k5A3+

I am looking for the last bios made that was made in 2003.  I can't find it anywhere.

I think all you have to do is select "BIOS Updates" as your File Type and your model "EP-8K5A3+" on this page:

Thanks for the suggestion.

The problem is, is that the FTP site that hosts the files no longer exists.  Even some of the regional EPoX websites are non-existant.

However, I did find the bios I was looking for by figuring out what EPoX named the file and then Googling that name.   :D
