I have plans to buy one of these soon.  Found one for about $20 USD not too long ago, and right now it looks I'm going to get my hands on it.

But before I buy, what should I expect (as far as performance)?  I'm not expecting it to be the best 3Dfx card ever and run UT2004 at full speed or anything like that, but I do need a TV tuner and it might as well be this one to make up for the other 3Dfx TV tuner I traded by mistake.  What chipset is it based off of?  SST-1/96/2, VSA-x?  Thanks.

This is a Voodoo Rush, SST-96, no tv-tuner (right?). It's actually the slowest 3dfx card possible :) If you need tv-tuner, go for Voodoo 3 3500.

I had a 3Dfx Voodoo 3 3500 once, but I accidentally traded it  :-/

Either way, I'm buying it anyway.  It's 3Dfx, and that's all I care about!

indeed.. no tv tuner and slower as a voodoo graphics.

So does the TV part just mean you can hook up the display to a TV?

Yes.

The 3500 is a good card just be sure to keep it cool. Mine ended up with a modern cooler (copper with heat pipe).

Can you tell exactly which cooler did you use? Something for mainboard chipset cooling right?
