But Omega_Supreme is that a pic of you Rev.A 3900?

Im pretty sure it cannot be done to a voodoo 5 6000
because the VSA100 chips are located alot closer next
to eachoter. Anyway, just suppose they would fit, would
you really like those coolers better then the original?

And next to that, removing the old ones can be pretty
risky I think. Wasnt the method: put in the freeze and
after a while put a screwgriver inder the heatsink and
pop it off? Shocked

I sure wouldnt be willing to remove my
original fans that way. Is ther not a more safe way ?

Reply #94 - 20.05.05 at 13:15:19 yeah apparently that cooler is supposed to be for the V5 6000 don't know any progress, but he will definately have to drill. only the markings are made on the board. but not really a solid hole. and considering the price he paid for one of those cards, im sure he will take his time to attach that heatsink with fan =)

If you look at the photo you will clearly see that there is PCB between the fans and they have AAvid logos to boot. Already ran this picture by Hank too, he states it looks like someone attached 4 spare heatsink and fans to the ram.

I thought it was a proto 8 x VSA-100 board when I first saw it.

Early prototype boards with fan, I have two brown ones and one black one. One of the brown boards is clocked at 183, the other 2 are clocked at 164. I'm going to hang on to only one (the 183 mhz board) and sell or trade off the other two.

what do you think happened with my upcoming 5000? might the seller saw that this card is much more worth or even got a better offer and sold it to another one? Last one i do not hope, and he said in his last mail he sent the card to me... that was on 12.May i think...

no the card is still not here yet... i have a very bad feeling about this. the seller has 220 feedback with 100% positive transactions...

he also does not respond to my email. all i can do is wait. then i will leave a negative feedback and will use the paypal buyer protection so i will get my money back. but first i'll wait a few days more but the chances are small that this card ever really will arrive to me.

I assume that maybe someone "bid" more then me Undecided
