Title: 3500/TV
Post by jcecil on 28.12.08 at 03:11:33
I have a 3500/TV card and cables. Where can I find setup and use information? I'm not even sure what it's supposed to do. I want to convert  videotape to mpeg so I can store on computer and burn to disc. Will it work for this or am I wasting my time?

drivers

best you use Win98se

you need video and audio cables from the tape player to the IN-side of the v3pod

should work fine

any card with video-in should be sufficient for the task (even the 3500tv),as long as you can connect the tape player to it and have proper software that is a able to grab it..

Biggest problems I always had was keeping sound and video in sync, codec issues or the huge file sizes generated by raw avi captures.

Let us know how you make out, good video capture seems to be a black art unless you are using expensive hardware or have good luck.

There's lots of good video editing software.

Adobe Premier - kinda pricy

VideoReDo Plus - cheap and good.

I record TV shows and edit out commercials.  I edit frame by frame.

Good luck!   ;)
