... is it special in some way? ive seen it on ebay. the cooler has the same color like the one from a 3500

i think that it's has the same query as the Voodoo3 2000 PCI SGRAM with the Black and Silver Coolers., tou know the ones I mean , the ones with those tiny square ones.

I think that a Matt Black cooler  has a better heat displacement than an Aluminium based coloured cooling unit.

Maybey that is why 3dfx didthat, it also could of been that the Alu coolers were out of stock so that they continued with the matt black ones from the 3500 AGP TV cards ofcourse :)

AFAIK the black cooler from the 3k is noit the same as the one from the 3500! the 3500-cooler has a notch in the left upper edge...the black 3k-cooler not...
but i'm not 100% sure...if someone could post a picture ;)

yeah Chosen you're right... the black 3000 cooler looks like the regular 3000 cooler, but only in black... no notch like on 3500...

yeah that is because of the TV-Tuner hehe but actually it's still the same piece of metal used for the cooler only the 3500 Tv AGP coolers have had a little modification, you're right there though, Chosen_One :) sry bout that.
