Title: Mac with normal Voodoo 2
Post by RaVeNsClaw on 27.10.08 at 15:33:45
Hey, people!
I'm playing Quake 3 with my G3 Mac and with a Creative Voodoo2!

OK, I've got no textures, but it works!  :D

I'm using a modified version of the Game Wizard Beta 4 Driver witch i got from a friend.  :)

I've also got a driver for OSX Server Edition, but i can not say if its working. It is not even installable under my normal OSX 10.3.

Are other people out there, who are using normal Voodoo's in their Macs?  ::)

I don't have a Mac, but I think that all Voodoo1 and Voodoo2 should work both in Mac and PCs, since they don't have a BIOS, they are only addon cards, so as long as you have a compatible primary graphic card it should be OK. But it's just an assumption  ::)

This week i'll get a Game Wizard 2 Card.

This card seems to have a BIOS!  :-?

Eventually i'll get textures with that card!  ;)

I've got mine now.

The "Bios" isn't a Bios. It's a GAL16V8, a generic AND-Array.

I think it makes the VGA to Mac-monitor modulation.

The Card has the same Problem under Q3A, as all the normal V2s have. So I'm going to reinstall OS9, this time without the System updates...

The layout is 98% the same as the Diamond Monster 2.
It will maybe even work in a normal PC. I'm going to test that...

The card works fine with my Test PC! (Athlon 900)
You just have to take one of those:

EDIT: The Driver makes only 640*480 and lower avalible, but the Card works fine in 800x600...
You just have to add the refreshrate in your registry.
