anyone collecting 3dfx sealed retail boxes like me? Well go here

and they have V5 5500 AGP on sale for 199.99 US, that's 80.00 off the regular price.

I picked up mine, so get your's before they're sold out.

Um.... I just spoke with the guy on the phone. They have 5x 5500 AGP's and it appears they can get most of the other ones, both boxed and OEM. That's nuts.

Please remember: the MSRPs are from the year 2000. In my opinion it isn't justified if you compare an MSRP from 9 years ago with today's prices, even if the cards are new and sealed. 200$ for a V5 5500 AGP is nuts - used boxed ones go for maybe 35-40$, a premium of 160$ just for the condition "new" is absolutely crazy in my opinion.

Well, it's a matter of supply and demand....

The supply is limited as production stopped in 2000.

Where else are you going to find sealed 3dfx boxes? If you know, please tell me.

Its whatever people are willing to pay for it. Personally, it seems like a really good deal considering that you dont have to search and look around for them. Even when you are "hunting" them, it doesnt mean youll find one. To be able to just go onto a website and order mint sealed boxes is worth alot in my opinion.

I dont think anyone that would buy one of these would ever use them. I personally would package it and put it on a shelf somewhere.
