Retiring My eBay 'Classic' design

The current My eBay design will be retired on eBay.ie on 2nd March and eBay.co.uk on 9th March, and the ability to opt out of the new design will be removed.

You can find more information on the new design at http://pages.ebay.co.uk/newlook08/myebay/

Frequently asked questions (with answers) can be found here: http://forums.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=1100227316&tstart=0

Retiring old search system

Last year we introduced a new search system on eBay.co.uk. Until now, buyers and sellers have been able to choose not to use the new search system.

However, with more than 98% of you now using the new search we'll be retiring the older technology in April 2009.

If you're one of the few users who's opted out, you'll see some reminder messages during your searches. We suggest you familiarise yourself with the new search in the coming weeks so that you're ready when the old search is retired.

Regards,

The eBay Team

If it's aint broken don't fix it, it's so illogical!   :-/

Why can't they just leave things alone?

I use it and like it.

The search is a whole lot better, more options available on one page. I especially like the sorting options.

I do like the search, that's fine. But it's such a pain getting used to this new MyEbay. I've got no choice I suppose.

I've been using the new eBay layout for a loooooooooooooong time.  It's actually quite nice.  People usually don't like change, and that's what most of you are experiencing. Out with the old, and in with the new right?

If it ain't broke, it's not overclocked enough. :)

I guess so, I've changed it around a little bit to suit my needs, it's not as bad as I originally thought it would be, but it's going to take quite a bit of getting used to.

The old school search was great.  I didn't like getting rooked into using the new one... now it's the only choice, ala Facebook.com..... ah well, that's how it goes...

You should have an option. I mostly use my phone to browse on Ebay. The new Ebay has alot more data to download. It is now a royal pain in the ass. I thought it worked fine before. Now it has too many pop up menus, javascript etc etc. There would be nothing wrong with giving you the option to use what you want.

If it isnt broke dont fix it. Much like Gears of War 2. Loved the first one. HATE the second one. Its going on Ebay.

Have been using it today, and even though I need to find things all over, it's actually not that bad.

Stuck in my eBay ways I guess.  :)

The new ebay changes are something getting use to, Idon't like the new layout, if something is simple to use for someone why make it more complicated than it already is :-X :-/

BIG ELASTICATED GRANNY PANTS! >:( >:(

There ya' go - rant over! ;)

Mainly because the old layout was better and the old search worked better than the new one... ::)

I love your rant and it fits the situation perfectly LMAO'd for a long time too as in:

BIG ELASTICATED GRANNY PANTS! >:( >:(

what size? Wide 96? hahaha ;D

My humor emitter needs recalubrating for now lol

What ebay could of done is place an option for users to choose old style or new style, in the profile prefferences of the user for example.

It could save us for example alot more time wondering around like lost souls with this terrible new layout they made.
