Post by RaverX on 15.11.08 at 01:04:22
Did anyone here have a setup of 2 canpous v2 ? I have 2 of those card, but connecting them through normal SLI cable it's a problem, I can't figure how to connect them and still be able to install in the slots, one of the cards always gets upside down  :-?

I made my own from a floppy cable. They need the same twist in the middle 4 pins as the standart SLI cable.

Do you need a special tool for that? To convert a floppy cable?

No you just have to be careful when taking the connector off. I re-used the same connector.

Cool. I might be able to make one myself as well then. :)

When you crimp the connector back together it splices into the cable. I use a pair of pliers with a soft cloth in the jaws to keep the pliers from digging in and marking up the connectors. Just gently squeeze the connector back together. They're not hard to make. I've seen some selling on eBay but I can't see how you can make any money at it. I guess they're just trying to build up their feedback  ::)
