Title: Nvidia going down the tubes?

http://www.semiaccurate.com/2009/10/06/nvidia-kills-gtx285-gtx275-gtx260-abandons-mid-and-high-end-market/

Now, this might or might not be true but it is fact that Nvidia has been having a lot of problems lately. (in bold because this is all over the net and probably just a rumor but....)

As much as I don't like Nvidia, a one card monopoly isn't good for prices, new tech or features. Not to mention longer times in between launches of new cards. This would be almost as bad if AMD dropped out of the CPU market and stuck with strictly vid cards. Competition is needed in all aspects of this.

I gather you have never heard of Charlie Demerjian then?

He's the biggest nVidia troll on the planet. Article after article of nVidia hate.

They will be EOL'd but it is around the same time as nVidia thinks they are going to launch Fermi. Reports indicate that it won't just be the GTX that will get launched end of the year. nVidia has got some problems, and I wish them best of luck with getting parts out end of the year, but they aren't dead. Far from it.

It is such rubbish that the thread over at xtremesystems simply got locked lol.

Yeah, figured as much then. No, really haven't paid to much attention to Charlie before so no, didn't realize it.
