Title: 3D glasses on a voodoo
Post by Blazkowicz on 15.05.04 at 14:16:58
my rig is
athlon XP2400+
V5 5500 with official drivers v1.04.01b
windows 98 SE

I just got  H3D glasses with EyeScream 2000 ( version 3.02 on the CD, and I downloaded 5.02 update which I installed directly)

it looks stunning in quake 1
but I couldn't get it to work with direct3D games (I tried max payne 1, max payne 2, vice city)
it should!
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Station/2137/Hardware/EyeScream.htm

and there's an included glide2x and opengl32.dll (which is stereo MiniGL) but no glide3x.dll
maybe that's why wickedGL does not work in 3D (once again, it should!), and most glide games I have don't run in 3D either (nfs 5, operation flashpoint, and others)
only unreal,  unreal tournament and MiniGL-friendly games work for me

other dumb thing :  Resolution Override doesn't always work so I can't rely on it

anyone has used EyeScream here?
what should I do now  ;D
I've heard of EyeScream Pro but it's impossible to find
I'd like to have latest E-Dimensional drivers but they are only available to their customer (nasty thing. they sell the same glasses as H3D did, and at first they glasses came with Eyescream 5.02)

maybe you have a  pair of Elsa Revelator

That's a fine gadget for me (although it makes me want a screen that supports 200Hz in 1024x768  :P ;D)

most annoying thing is there's quite some ghosting
and these overrated wicked drivers  :-/

Hi Blazkowicz,

I can't really help you with a Voodoo5 5500 since I use Voodoo2s with the EyeScream drivers.

All I can suggest it that you check that the EyeScream driver has its "wrapper" enabled.  The glide driver is active by default but the wrapper is necessary to intercept the D3D calls.
