Nice achievement, congrats!

Makes me envious Smiley Maybe after new year i'll start an ultimate 5500 project... A pity that it can't be clocked over 220 MHz due to generator limitation, 'cos voltmodded waterchilled V5 with nice ram should go much-much higher... Tha only thing that frightens me is that I will need to search for KT333 mobo and work with Socket A platform once again...

yeah, but a voodoo @210 and an XP-M @3000Mhz (prommy cooled e.g.) would also go over 4000....

AGP is better than PCI... i tested a V5 5500 in my Athlon 64 PC... its slower than a AGP version in my second PC (XP@2438Mhz...)

you can look here:

http://service.futuremark.com/servlet/Index?pageid=/orb/projectsearch

dunno if you have to register, nevermind, its free. But first place with V4 4500 has 2214 3DMarks 2001 (default run, 1024x768 32bit)
--------------
out of competition: 3769 points (number one, regardless the resolution! he used 640x480 16bit, thats why he has so much points)

Too bad you've only done the game tests. Would have been nice to compare the fill rates and all that other stuff.

It is a pitty that a V5 can't go higher than 220mhz, well the best way to get to 220mhz is too change the Ram chips on the card with faster ones offcourse, something that can be done quite easily (okay some skill is required Wink).

And with a high AGP clockspeed, V5 would be at it's maximum (TM30, you sad that 90mhz AGP was about the max for a V5 didn't you?).

Okay I am forgetting the nice project of DenisF the V5 with a total of 128mb. If only someone would know a solution for his problems Sad (I still think it's a driver issue).

thandor, you should go for the v4 record, i threw in my v4L-card and got 3857 with a small o/c on the cpu, im sure 4000 could be had at the lowest resolution easy enough.

gave it a little bump before i had to goto work and got to 4021, all cpu but what really matters is in games the fastest cpu you can throw at the voodoo the more your fps will be in games and the longer your voodoo will have a useful life for gamming.
