Title: FSAA
Post by Micha on 21.11.03 at 15:02:22
As FSAA on VSA-100 based boards is done by supersampling, i think there might be (at least i heard about that) a screen solution limitation caused by a certain maximum of megapixels/sec (about 667 for 2 vsa-100 chips)...
anybody knows? maybe 800*600 for 4 sample fsaa and 1024*768 for 2 sample fsaa, but i don't know exactly

Yeah, there is a limit, i.e. where it crashes...I believe it's 1600x1200 on a Voodoo 5 5500 (not too sure). But I know that 1024*768 at 4xAA is playable in 16-bit; 32-bit gets kinda slow, but it still runs...

that might be enough..  ;D ..maybe it's dependent on the game
