Title: Voodoo5 and Bus (PCI/AGP) overclock
Post by Kyrandia on 22.01.10 at 15:27:12
Hi guys,
i just want to ask you if voodoo5 card could be damaged if i would use a pci clock higher than 33mhz DAILY.

As we know kt333 does have no fix, so if set 180fsb for example i get 36/37 mhz on the bus , 3/4 mhz over default freq. For other pci card i know there is no problem if overclock on the bus is low , but i'm not sure on V5 card.

thank you for help, bye

Some people use their V5 PCI cards in 66MHz slots for even greater performance than in a regular 33MHz slot.  The motherboards are more geared towards workstation machines.  A popular motherboard that have these slots are the Tyan MPX Dual Athlon boards.  http://tyan.com/product_board_detail.aspx?pid=461

yeah sure for V5 PCI no problem, if i like i use it on my main system , i7 860 @4ghz,  Maximus III formula , 5870 etc etc

the question was mainly about V5 AGP that is 66mhz default and would go higher with bus over specific .. no problems even on AGP bus over 66 ?
