Someone finally asked for pictures of the front and back of the 5500 on Ebay, I wonder what took so long?

So... is there anything special to that card? Or did someone just move the molex power to the rear for some reason?

Molex is on the front, just a board with a late date from an SDK kit.

I'm surprised that only one buyer asked for detailed pictures of front and rear before auction and they didn't even win.

Woops, I seem to have got some cards mixed up... I mean this one -

...

...

They said it was in a "development machine".. but that might not mean much.  They probably broke the molex off and frankenstein'd it back on.

If I see the picture I say standard 5500 AGP, but when I look at the text he puts along with it, it seems like he is talking more about something the likes of a 6000 Smiley

In his knowledge, only 25-30 were made?? LOL and were sold for over 1000 euros?? HAHA, I'd like to see some idiot pay THAT much for a regular 5500, albeit a somewhat not too common pcb date.

but then again, he doesn't have a picture where it actually shows the pcb date?! is that pcb date known??

The seller states that there are no more than 30 known cards of which about 25 are functional - nonsense, maybe he thinks of the v6k...
He also states that some 3dfx-cards went for a couple of thousand euros and that the 149 Euro starting price is low...

I don't know if he really believes that a dime-a-dozen-card is worth that money (every other 5500 AGP brings no more than 40 Euros here in Europe, tops) or that he just wants to fool people who don't know the normal market price of that card...
