I was looking for voodoo MAC bioses, does anyone know where to get 'em? Maybe somebody can dump them?
There's ony one MAC bios on Stanto's site for v5 5500, it's unknown version.
I'm looking for any 3dfx voodoo MAC bioses (v3,v4,v5).

there are some v3mac bioses available here (scroll all the way down),but it seems like they are compressed with some mac compression tool (*.sit extension)..

well I have VMAC 4500 and VMAC 5500 cards, dumping a bios of them under Win2K would be a problem or not?

Have you checked with Chosen_One? He is our resident BIOS Guy.

btw, is it possible to identify bios version viewing rom contents? PC bioses have text strings with bios version.

btw, i even installed Apple System 7 on Basilisk II emulator to decompress 3dfx v4/5 mac drivers today :D

does this tool also works if i put the mac card into a pc-based system as second card ? can i get the bios out of the mac card on the pc ?

Hey ChosenOne I have 2 MAC cards also, is it possible that I can dump thier biosses under Win2K also?

as long this card is primary! but i guess a mac card cannot be primary! so you have to use the tool in DOS-mode....
i didn't try it in in DOS-mode but i guess it will work...as long the card is primary ;)

And make sure your primary card is a NON-Voodoo card.

In other words, don't use a voodoo3 as your primary to dump your Voodoo5 PCI MAC ;)

So I imagine what is being said is:

- If you use the VoodooMAC card as a primary (which is the one you wish to dump the BIOS from) use the app in DOS mode.

- If you use the MAC card as a secondary, be sure to use a non-voodoo (or non-3dfx to be certain  ;)) card when trying to dump from a VoodooMAC card or any other 3dfx card for that matter.  :)

well, in blind mode, because mac card won't work in pc.

@eye-q: you dumped me a bios! please tell all the ppl here how you did it ;) seems to be more difficult...
