Title: Never seen a V2 like this!

Anyone ever see a Voodoo II with a heatsink and 110 mhz ram? Have one sitting on my desk tonight and I have not been able to find a mention of it anywhere.

It's a Maxi Gamer 3d2, has ram on both sides, 110 mhz markings and a single heatsink on the center chip. It's different then the other Maxi I own but they are both Guillemot cards.

Let me know what you think, I'm stumped.

Gary

I've heard of them before. Could you post some pics? I think the other one had an orange copper heat sink, similar to the ones you might find on a 486 (or on my V5 5500!).

edit: you say that it has ram on both sides, does your other one only have it on one side? every v2 I've ever heard of had it on both sides...

1) I have seen a picture of an Orchid V2 card with a "copper" heatsink but the Orchid V2 I have here doesn't have one.

2) I have a few 12 meg V2 cards with ram on just one side, I assume they are later cards and ram density was up, 2 of them are 3dfx-1000's.

Will do pics later.
