picking a 3dfx card?
08.05.08 at 15:23:24

hello from my first day of posting as a new user after looking at this forum a bit for like a few months now  Tongue

anyhow I was wondering if anyone could suggest which agp cards I probably could try look for to buy on a budget if I need it for tnt-equival games (I do own Descent2 so that should be fun to see what the glide graphics actually look like  Grin ) and perhaps has tv-out as well?

the motherboard is just an old microatx with nothing special onboard so pci slots are limited hence why I don't think I could pick a pci card at all

I can't help thinking of the 3500TV but I'll be happy with anything else  Smiley

If it has to be dirt cheap, the widespread Voodoo3 3000 should be your most bang for the buck.

Not much slower than the Voodoo3 3500/TV, but (usually) quite a tad cheaper to aquire.

thanks falconfly

I was just more of not wanting to spend $100+ on just the graphic card alone for an old pc thats gotten a few healthy upgrades in past but isn't going to see any more [after the graphic card] just for the sake of the value of it if you get my drift
